Last day in Belgium

Today was great! We managed to pack a lot in and it turned out to be one of my favorites so far. We began with visiting a memorial for the members of the US army who fought valiantly at the Battle of the Bulge. After, we were able to explore an amazing World War 2 museum the had an incredible amount of items and vehicles from the war. I really enjoyed seeing the many different things used in the war, and Casey Cobb gave us a very good history lesson on most of the items. Following the museum, we were able to go to the Luxembourg American Cemetery where over 5,000 soldiers are buried. General Patton was also buried here which was a special thing to see. Once again it was very moving, but became even more unrealistic when we saw the German cemetery next. Seeing how many people died for both sides made me understand how awful war can really be. Finally, we made our way to France to see parts of the Maginot line, which I had been very excited to see. Although most ineffective during the war, the line was an incredible feat by the French, and was awesome to see in person. Tomorrow it is back to Normandy to the most anticipated part of the trip for me. -Josh
