Kehlsteinhaus (Eagle's Nest) and Dachau

Hello All!!!  This is Lindsey.  Having a blast in Germany and hate to see it end in the next few hours.  Yesterday we went to Eagle's Nest, Hitler's fort that had been built for his 50th birthday.  The view was spectacular and to stand where Hitler stood sent chills up my spine.  The only complaint was that it was COLD!!!  Snow was still on the mountains.  Today we went to Dachau a concentration camp that started in 1933.  Originally designed to house criminals it soon became a place where Jews and other minorities would lose their lives in.  This camp was the only one open throughout the entire war until 1945.  It was an emotional experience to see what the people had gone through at the hands of the SS.  Anyways, we are off to Belgium tomorrow and I am lookiing forward to that.  I am sad to see the time go so fast!!
