Jour Deux

One of the many wonders of the French landscape, in my opinion, is the abundance of wildflowers that grow here. There are blossoms of every color, shape, size --- and smell. Not only do flowers blanket French medians and backfields, the vibrant little fleurs thrive in unpredictable places too--- often exploding from window boxes high above head or popping up among cracks in the cobblestone street. My personal favorite is the poppy, a scarlet flower that looks ravishing against the constantly blue sky of South France.
