Europe Rocks!

You know, you always hear about the beauty and majesty of Europe; you've seen pictures, videos, post cards, and heard people talking about it but you can't really understand the overwhelming power of the things you experience in these places. The stories you hear from the locals literally transcend time and space and sends you on an incredible journey to the when and where being described. The views you see are literally breathtaking, you've never seen anything as incredible as these sites. At Pont du Gard, the Aquaeduct was taller than most buildings in America and made literally hundreds of years before our country was even founded with the most basic of tools. The walk to it was empowering and in a complete paradox of emotion being immediately below it made you feel so miniscule and insignificant. The locals don't even grasp how amazing the place they live in is. Today I saw two young boys playing soccer against a building that could easily be thousands of years old, the family eating a picnic along the ruined stone wall surrounding the area. It didn't even occur to them that the place they were enjoying was anything more than a mundane place to eat lunch. Driving through Monaco was terrifying but the view was like a religious experience. All in all this has been the most beautiful, powerful, and incredible experience of my life. Words fail me for the first time in my life.
